For over 90 years, the Junior League of San Antonio, Inc. has partnered with local agencies by providing funding and volunteer hours to projects which improve our community. Projects are selected which further the mission of the JLSA , and are focused on areas pertaining to our JLSA mission and position statements.
Project Selection Process:
To become part of the JLSA, Inc. community program, agencies should submit a proposal for a "Done-in-a-Day" project. "Done-in-a-Day" projects are short term projects which can be completed within a 4-8 hour work session. This process will serve as the preferred mechanism for the JLSA to select new long-term community placements for our members.
A "Done-in-a-Day" project allows both the JLSA and the partnering agency to test the relationship for compatibility. Upon successful completion of a "Done-in-a-Day" project, the Research and Development Committee may consider developing a more in-depth placement opportunity with the participating agency.
