Her work has been selected for private collections locally as well as in Santa Fe, New York and as far reaching as France; public collections include the University Health System, Robert B. Green Campus and GFR Development Services; and for future publication in the Junior League of San Antonio's "Fresh Flavors" cookbook.

"Bella" - fem. proper name, from Italian meaning "beautiful, fair"
The Bella series explores the passion, whimsy and color found within each woman. Each "Bella" painting portrays a woman's unique expression, exploring and celebrating the diverse manifestations of such "beauty."
With energetic strokes of the paintbrush, a "Fauvist" sensibility and application of brilliant colors, artist Ana Montoya breathes life into each of her Bellas. Montoya draws inspiration from the personality and aura of the Bella sitting for the painting, creating a lustrous oil composition as unique as the woman before her. Additionally, Montoya draws insight from her charming friends and family, weaving together a singular piece destined for its match. Often times, an observer of Montoyas artwork will find a piece to encompass qualities of their own beloved …. through such chance meetings, admirers become collectors!
Ana Montoya was born in Nuevo Laredo Tamaluipas and later moved to the United States at the age of four. She studied painting at the Southwest School of Art, San Antonio, Texas and History at the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, Texas. Finding a passion in art both past and present, she opened AnArte Gallery in 2001. AnArte exhibits contemporary art in all media by both established and emerging artists. The gallery and its artists support local, non-profits including: Arts SA Artist Foundation, Blue Star, Care, Childsafe, SnipSA, and The Southwest School of Art
In addition to her love for the arts she enjoys spending time with her 23-year-old son, a San Antonio musician and traveling the world with her lifetime partner.
Brook Rosser lives in San Antonio Texas and is a painter and Professor of Communication Design at San Antonio College. She received her BFA in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin and her MFA in painting and drawing from Texas Tech University. Brook’s paintings and drawings have been exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions as well as juried shows.
Her work has been exhibited at: AnArte Gallery, Carrington/Gallagher Gallery, Blue Star, University Autonoma de Mexico, Southwest School of Arts & Crafts, St. Mary’s University, the Lubbock Fine Arts Center, Texas Tech University, The University of Texas at Tyler, and Arizona State Universities Institute for Humanities and Research. Her work has been acquired for both private and corporate collections, such as the University Hospital Health System’s Robert B. Green Clinical Research Facility in San Antonio, Texas.
Brook’s mixed media paintings seek to reflect love, challenges, and dreams, blending both private and mythic images. Brook’s work seeks to explore the wonder and enchantment of living.
