The Bright Shawl, a charming limestone cottage, is located central to historic downtown San Antonio. The original facility, known as the Giles home, was named a recorded Texas landmark in 1973. The Junior League of San Antonio restored 
the original home and built an adjoining facility that increased the capacity of The Bright Shawl to 14,000 square feet. It boasts an assortment of meeting rooms to accommodate groups both large and small.

The Bright Shawl is owned by the Junior League of San Antonio and provides meeting space for Board, General and Committee meetings of the League. At other times the facility is operated as a banquet and meeting facility available for rent and is open for lunch services weekdays, except for Wednesdays, when it hosts the downtown Rotary.
