Fall Fest To Include Sensory Hour To Encourage Fun While Learning!

Junior League of San Antonio creates inclusive family-fun in inaugural Fall Fest at Hemisfair

Sept. 5, 2019 — The Junior League of San Antonio is excited to announce the inaugural launch of Fall Fest, Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Hemisfair from noon until 7 p.m.

Fall Fest will include Touch-A-Truck sponsored by Raising Cane’s that will feature an opportunity for children (and adults) to interact with trucks and vehicles used throughout the city.  Parents can pre-RSVP for Touch-A-Truck.  Touch-A-Truck will open from 12 noon to 7:00 pm with a sensory hour (without any noise from trucks or horns) from 11:00 am to 12 noon.  Food trucks and shopping vendors will fill the spaces between Hemisfair staples, i.e. The Splash Pad and Goliad Plaza until 7:00 pm.

Admission to Fall Fest is free; however, parents can purchase access to unique activities for as little as $1.  Activities include face painting, a Kiddie Cakewalk, balloon art, and more. Sponsors of Fall Fest include HEB, University Health System, Wave Healthcare, Pena Realty Group at REMAX Associates, and Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

“We are raising funds together to further the mission of the Junior League of San Antonio, which includes a focus on children’s mental wellness, supporting performing arts programs in our area high schools,  and women’s leadership development.” says Yvonne Addison, President of the Junior League of San Antonio.

The Junior League of San Antonio recently announced their devotion to children’s mental wellness with its Centennial Campaign that will provide the Clarity Child Guidance Center space to train the next generation of caregivers.
