Kickoff Your Fiesta with the Junior League of San Antonio’s ¡VIVA! SA 5K Fun Run on Sat, Mar, 23
The 7th annual event brings together families and athletes of all abilities to support the Junior League of San Antonio’s work with more than 60 nonprofits.
March 7, 2019 — The Junior League of San Antonio (JLSA), a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the voluntary sector, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of its trained all-women volunteers will host the 7th Annual ¡VIVA! SA 5K, 10K, Kids Fun Run on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 8 AM at Hemisfair Park.
The 7th annual family-friendly event brings together athletes of all abilities to support the Junior League of San Antonio’s work with more than 60 nonprofit organizations. Participants are encouraged to register in advance to receive race perks and swag. Registration is available up until and on the day of the event.
Running enthusiasts and JLSA supporters are invited to attend or participate in the 3.1-mile or 6.2-mile courses that run through Hemisfair Park, going down along the San Antonio River and looping around Blue Star to finish back at Hemisfair. This is a perfect fun run for first-time runners. Stay after the race for the post-race celebration including, drinks, food, fun, and prizes!
As always participants are encouraged to form a team, bringing together family, friends, dogs, and strollers to challenge themselves to complete the course and raise additional funds. Prizes will be awarded for most decorated festive shoes, plus awards for King + Queen for best festive attire, best festive child racer attire, and best group attire!
