Lupita Castrejón-Tijerina brings more than 18 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and management to her role as Managing Director of the Junior League of San Antonio, which she joined after serving as the Vice President, External Affairs for Family Violence Prevention Services/The Battered Women’s Shelter, and Interim Executive Director for the San Antonio Children’s Museum.  She holds a B.A. from St. Mary’s University and an M.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She is an alumna of Leadership San Antonio – XXIX.  She is active in her community and has served as a board member for The Bexar County Child Welfare Board and Center for Health Care Services and is a participating member of The Funders Group of San Antonio and Keystone School.

Kassie Szolkovy, Membership Program Coordinator, has over 4 years of experience managing staff and programs for nonprofit organizations. Her background includes staff management, program facilitation, development and managment, recruitment and onboarding, payroll, payment processing, scholarship selection and placement, and database tracking. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Angelo State University.

Alejandra comes to the Junior League of San Antonio from Gilliam & Associates, P.C. where she worked with CPAs on all manner of financial processing and reporting, as well as office correspondence. Alejandra will be sharing her expertise and skills as she takes on the role of financial management for the League. Alejandra’s many skills include a fluency in Spanish, software certification, and a pursuit for a degree in Accounting. She also brings a desire to work with a mission-driven nonprofit working to empower women and improve the community.
