Why Support JLSA

From our founding in 1924, the Junior League of San Antonio, Inc. has instilled in its members a deeply felt duty to engage in voluntarism, women’s leadership, and meaningful community impact. It is our understanding that women who unite with a common purpose and strong commitments can build better communities.

Many of the community agencies we partner with serve San Antonio’s most vulnerable citizens. The important work of the Junior League requires ongoing support.

The mission of the Junior League is funded through revenue generated by the generosity of our members, donors, businesses, and corporations. Gifts to JLSA empower us as a non-profit organization to recruit new members, develop strong training, and offer a broad range of volunteer opportunities in the community. Ultimately, a gift to JLSA represents faith in our mission and a belief that our community benefits from the actions of trained volunteers.

In addition to giving, participating in Junior League fundraisers is a great avenue for businesses and corporations to get involved in fun, targeted activities designed to generate significant proceeds for the Junior League’s mission and operating budget.

Junior League members themselves are committed to supporting our organization not only with time, but also financially. Membership dues account for a large portion of our revenue budget. Dues and the associated fees directly impact our mission by contributing to the cost of educating, training, communicating, engaging, and deploying our members.

There are many reasons and many ways to support the Junior League of San Antonio.
