Reading camp is about to begin!
As the school ends and summer approaches the Junior League volunteers are actively working to prepare for reading camp. Students completing 2nd grade at Hawthorne Elementary will have the opportunity to attend the two week camp this summer. The students work through units that study different habitats. Daily activities include reading books and poems, listening to songs, doing science labs, and making crafts. The students are also provided with a snack and lunch daily.
